Are you using Social Media Plugins on your blog? If not, you are missing a great opportunity to have your content shared with just a click of a mouse!
Thanks to some really smart developers that there are tons of great plugins that make it easy for you to encourage your readers to share your content via social networks.
Here is a list of my favorites:
Simple Facebook Connect:
Simple Facebook Connect (SFC) is a group of plugins that let you add a variety of Facebook Connect functionality to your Word then, each of the add-on plugins will let you add specific Facebook-related functionality, one by one.
Here are some choices you have:

TweetMeMe:
The TweetMeme Retweet button is one of the most popular add ons for retweeting and is used by some of the biggest websites in the world. According to the developer, it is installed on over 100,000 websites around the globe. The Tweetmeme button is an easy way for your readers to share your posts with the Twitter community. It easily allows your blog post or page to be retweeted and provides a live count of how many times your post/page has been retweeted throughout Twitter.
Cute Profiles:
Cute Profiles adds all your Social Profile icons vertically on left or right side of your pages, which will remain visible all the time though the page is scrolled and without consuming the sidebar space. You can see my Cute Profiles at left on any page on this site. There are options that allow for inclusion of many more social networking sites and, you can have them on both sides of your web pages.
Sexy Bookmarks:
You read it right SEXY! Although the name might seem a bit risque, SexyBookmarks is an extremely useful and successful tool in getting your readers to actually submit your articles to numerous social bookmarking sites. The graphics are captivating and fun, which translates into more sharing and bookmarking of your posts. According to the developers, “Our sole aim was to stray away from the “in the box” thinking behind most social bookmarking plugins, and add a little flair that would entice your readers, rather than deterring them with microscopic icons that get lost in pages heavy laden with content”.
WP-TwitterBadge:
WP-TwitterBadge is a simple plugin that allows you to display a Twitter “Follow” Badge on your site or blog. (like the one displayed at right – click it now to follow me on Twitter!). It uses the Twitter “Follow” Badge that is provided by go2web20.net. This plugin takes removes the need to manually edit the details and enter it into your theme each time you change themes.
Disqus:
Although this is not a Social Media add-on per say, the end result does allow for readers posting comments to your posts, to use a variety of social media accounts to post from. The Disqus comment system replaces your WordPress comment system with your comments hosted and powered by Disqus. (You can see this in action by commenting on this or any of my posts.)
To your WordPress success!
